Disc Golf

The 18 holes of “The Bear,” a championship disc golf course that is a “Fierce Adventure”, are situated in the rolling landscape of the main campus at Compass Lake in the Hills. When the Board of Directors voted to create the course, they committed to doing it right. The natural setting was a perfect start. In studying the existing marketplace we learned that most courses are flat with little variation in the topography. Not so at “The Bear.” You start on the hill adjacent to the lodge and then go into the woods around the RV park. When emerging from the woods you then walk the ridge along the lake shore and return to another section of challenging holes. The last hole is exceptionally long and allows the opportunity to “air it out.”

Most disc courses have a few cement tee boxes, some offer seating and few offer separate tees for amateur and professional distances. “The Bear” offers it all. With all cement tee’s, attractive signage, seating at every hole, and a beautiful course.

All day is just $5.00 and can be paid at the office.  An after-hours payment dropbox is available as well.  Annual passes are also available.

Rental discs are available in the office for $10.00 per set w/bag, plus a $20.00 refundable deposit.
